Season of Creation Spotlight: Lancashire, United Kingdom

To celebrate the Season of Creation, a group of around 70 Lancashire Catholics braved blustery weather to march to a fracking site, where they shared prayers and reflections on care for our common home.

After the main service, the group occupied the entrance to Cuadrilla fracking site. The service was enjoyed by the regular community of protesters who have spent all year in protest over the fracking.

This event, along with hundreds of others around the world celebrated the Season of Creation, which took place between September 1st and October 4th, 2017. Christians around the world stood together to address climate change and commit to sustainable stewardship of Creation.
