A couple points that I think contradict this writeup:
- Is a Sixers-like rebuild good for someone like Porzingis? Should he be the #1 option on a crappy team? The guy is super young — for his development, the best thing you can do is give up some playoff reps, the odd game where he’s the focal point of the offense, and a good coach.
- The East is still a weak conference, even if they house the NBA champions. You fill the starting lineup with enough starter-caliber players, including the idea of Carmelo Anthony: NBA Superstar, it shouldn’t be hard to make some noise. That’s all Knicks fans want to see.
