Catheon Gaming 2023 Roadmap

As we enter the new year, Catheon Gaming will be focused on continuing the growth and traction that we have seen over the course of the last year. We have a renewed focus on taking the community along with us in the process to build the next generation of games and gaming technology.

These are our key focus areas for 2023 (note that we have deliberately avoided being too prescriptive regarding final launch and release dates, which will be dependent on market conditions and other factors):

Catheon Black Pass — NFT mint

We are excited to be bringing the highly anticipated Catheon Black Pass early next year. We will be kicking off our marketing after the New Year break. We have announced some utility for the Black Pass and will continue to release more information as we get closer to the mint!

Catheon GameFi Accelerator — inaugural cohort intake

The team has been working tirelessly to strike key industry partnerships across the blockchain space for our accelerator program.

We are excited to provide a platform for the best GameFi projects to expand and grow their captive audiences and enjoy continued success.
We have been working with our partners to finalize the modules and are in the process of selecting the highest quality applicants for our first cohort scheduled to kick off in Q1 2023.

SolChicks Saga — second beta and full game

SolChicks Saga is a multiplayer role-playing game where players can own and trade their NFT assets (e.g., characters, weapons, equipment) and through them explore a magical fantasy world we have meticulously crafted.
Following the Oct-22 release of the closed beta test we are actively working with our development team on incorporating feedback that was received. We plan to make some significant tweaks to the gameplay and further fine-tune the game experience ahead of the full-game launch.

Angrymals — full web3 game integration

Angrymals is based on one solid concept: throw junk and wreck things! Players control three characters with a huge assortment of absurd weapons and powers to lay waste on your opponent’s defenses.
Angrymals web2 game has been performing strongly through the year as we have worked on building out the web3 game modes and functionality. We have been observing the evolving policy changes in App Store and Google Play guidelines in relation to NFTs and crypto integration and taking these into consideration as part of our build strategy. The web3 game modes are close to development completion, and are in the process of integration and testing with the Catheon Gaming SDK.
The team is continuing to onboard partners as they work towards the release of the game token. Launch timing will be subject to completion of the above and accommodating market conditions.

Catheon Metaverse — release of further details on design and strategy

We believe that the key to success of a successful metaverse platform is to bring together engaging social elements alongside a broad and rich content slate. Our priority here is to continue to build out our content library with the launch of the various games on the platform so that we can launch the Catheon Metaverse with significant content and utility from day one. We have been carefully analyzing existing platforms and our portfolio to design a bespoke platform that we hope will be novel and engaging, and set a new standard for metaverse platforms within a portfolio of blockchain games.

Seoul Stars — completion of 3D virtual idol model

Seouls Stars is a K-Pop virtual idol and rhythm (DJ-to-earn) / karaoke (sing-to-earn) game project. Catheon Gaming partnered with a global K-Pop entertainment agency based in Korea (Humap Entertainment), and Humap will soon be releasing the final model of the 3D virtual idol Yuna. Similar to other human K-Pop idols, Yuna will be hosting concerts, releasing her own music albums, and appearing in advertisements.

Stars End Metaverse — beta and full game

Stars End is an open world multiplayer survival metaverse experience like none other.
We have been working closely with the development team who are currently working towards implementing our Catheon SDK to allow for blockchain integration. A web2 version of the game (Stars End) is currently available on Steam in early access which allows the team to get continuous feedback on the game and make regular improvements. We expect to release the web3 beta version (separate to Steam version) in the New Year with on-chain game assets working live in the game.

Prajna Gate — beta and full game

Prajna Gate is the first Unreal Engine 5 (“UE5”) multiplayer horror FPS shooting game on the blockchain. AAA-quality graphics of this quality takes time, but the dream team working on Prajna Gate has managed to make significant progress on an early beta version of the game which is currently in the internal testing stage. The team is progressing with development before the game will be ready for a public beta release.

Aotuverse — beta release and full game

Aotuverse is a fast-paced mobile strategy RPG game based on the #2 most popular anime in China. Significant progress has been made towards completing the English language translation of the core game content from the Chinese version of the game. Additional work is required to update core features of the English version of the game to align with new content that has since been added to the Chinese version.
The developer is currently prioritizing the completion and roll-out of new content in the Chinese version prior to working on the blockchain integration of the English version and other language support.

Tokyo Conception — beta release and full game

Tokyo Conception is a mobile RPG game set in Tokyo in the aftermath of an ancient ritual that infested the metropolis with swathes of monsters. The Tokyo Conception team is undertaking a complete remake of their previous game in this franchise, with the web3 version making the transition from mobile to PC with significant graphics improvements included.
The beta version of the game is scheduled to be ready in 2023 and depending on the complexity of feedback received in the beta test, the full game may be available later in the year.

Other games

As featured on our website, we have a long content slate of additional games in the works. Generally we are at an earlier stage of web3 design and integration with these titles and in some cases are working to release the announcements and marketing close to game launch. Stay tuned to see these roll out.

In addition to the above content roadmap, we will continue to release updates to the Catheon Gaming Center, and blockchain integration SDK. We are also actively searching for and onboarding new partners and games to the portfolio.
