The Slide: Children vs. Adult

WHAT DOES THE PLAYGROUND HAVE TO DO WITH YOUR BUSINESS?

Picture this 📷 ... a playground. You're a young child. The sun is out, it's a beautiful summer day. You're so excited to be there! You throw your shoes off and bolt for the slide. You climb up this metal ladder, hands burning but you don't notice - you have a purpose. You get to the top of this metal slide ....

sit down, backside burning but again it's not relevant. You push yourself off, it's so hot your skin sticks to the slide (hahha ... that noise right?) You get to the bottom, barely, and without thinking you race back through that hot sand, up that metal ladder just to do it all again.

30 seconds of pain for 1 second of pleasure.

You're an adult now ... trying something new, you decide - something outside of your comfort zone. You fail (it didn't work out the way you had hoped). You're too scared to try again, or it can't work, it's too hard.

Or, you don't even try, because you're afraid it won't work ... you heard it's no good, someone told you it's a waste of time, and so on.

But what if ...

What if 1 second of 'pain' could bring you 30 seconds of pleasure. What if the only obstacle is actually, you.

We can learn a lot from children, carefree, resilient, purposeful children. Climb up the ladder, slide down that slide. Do something today with intention. Find your purpose.
