This article details the creation of a costume design for article ‘Idris Elba in “007: Heir Apparent”’.

Hornet’s suit is designed to mix elements of a Boxing robe (the bright, shiny, fabric and long tails for length) with a Tuxedo and traditional Muay Thai armbands/Druang Rang (the fabric around the left bicep and the separate cuff).

It is impractical to the degree that it would likely require taping in places, just like actual runway fashions. This suit and the scene it is featured in are meant to expose Hornet as completely self-centered.
