Made it through Kansas, no Toto:(
This is a very short post. Basically I wanted to sum up three things I felt today while traveling through Kansas:
1. It is very big, and looks the same from what I can tell. Although the World’s largest Czech egg is housed in Kansas
2. There were so many cows!! I saw baby cows, big cows, black cows, reddish cows, spotted cows, you name it. I even saw a big ceramic cow by the side of the road. Kind of makes me wonder what would happen if June had met them…
3. So. Many. Wind. Turbines. I definitely felt the wind as the land got flatter. It was a little unnerving to drive through at times, to be honest. But I was so in awe of all the wind turbines. They practically outnumbered the cows!!
Ok last few tidbits: I made it to Colorado Springs! It is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l and not flat! I had started to forget that mountains did exist, but then remembered as soon as my ears didn’t stop popping for like an hour. I got here as the sun was beginning its descent, and I wanted to take panoramic shots but was pretty sure people would laugh at the tourist. Not to worry, they will be coming your way tomorrow.

Also, I stayed at the aforementioned awesome Airbnb, and got to meet the sheep and horse this morning! Andy is the sheep and Lilly is the horse. They’re both a bit of attention hogs, but sweet nonetheless. I even got to help feed them! But don’t worry mom, there’s not enough room in my car for them:/ so I just nabbed the puppy Siera instead:)
Mrs Shaw has a day lined up for us tomorrow: I cant wait to see what it’ll be!
Good night from Mountain Time Zone
