I’m confused.

So Granddad and Grandmum had the benefit of social programs growing up.

Dad and Mum less so, but still benefited from social programs.

And now you want more social programs, because the country can’t suck enough money out of its people to pay for the programs of yesterday and today?

You know these programs are paid for by you, your parents, and your grandparents, right?

You know your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will still be paying for the programs you, the parents, and grand parents had, right?

At what point do we stop heaping tax burdens on the generations to come after us?

At what point are we going to suck it up, deal with a lifestyle that isn’t as affluent as the folks’ was, and pay off these debts?

At what point do we demand that government stop bailing out corporations?

Just how is increased government spending going to decrease government debt and taxes?

Or maybe we should just hit the reset button like Iceland did.

I’m personally for that option and then enacting and enforcing laws that forbid our governments from going into debt again.
