In 1963, he was born in Shanghai with the home in Gao You
In 1978, without any senior school education, he enrolled in the physics department at Fu Dan University at the age of 15 directly
In 1979, during the second year at the university, he went to the German Berlin Freedom University to study as the exchange student
In 1983, he earned the master degree in German Berlin Freedom University. At the same year, he went to the United State New York State University Stony Brook Campus with the director Yang, Zhenning to study the doctoral degree.
In 1987, he earned the Doctor degree in physics.
In 1987, he went to the California University Santa Barbara Campus for the research after the pro-doctor degree.
