My room at first floor is one of the quietest places in my house since no one goes there. I started my first exercise Sama Vritti there. Although it says that the exercise is for beginners but it was a little difficult to balance my breathing initially. I have never done these relaxing exercises before so it was a new experience for me. Whenever I start anything, I have this urgency, restlessness and uneasiness to get over with it even when I don’t have anything else to do next, similarly when I tried out this exercise I was thinking to finish it quick. But this time it was a little different, instead of hurriedly writing my experience I felt myself relaxed and calm. In any occasion when you are anxious or restless, Sama Vritti can give you a peace of mind.
The second exercise was Guided Visualization which I practiced at a quiet place in my village where I had gone for Eid vacations. It really helped me let go of all the negativities in my mind. Since it is quite easy I have been doing it on a daily basis after which I feel really positive and relaxed as well. Often we have this negativity in mind whether things will work out well or not, this exercise can help in letting go of any bad feelings or fears.
Since the time I have learnt about these exercises, I have made a habit of doing Sama Vritti before starting anything which requires attention and Guided Visualization whenever I feel any negativity or apprehensions.
