This November 13, we say: PEACE, LOVE, RUN FOR THE LONG RUN

BLOM BANK BEIRUT MARATHON marks the fourteenth edition of this international running event that the Beirut Marathon Association organizes; an event that has brought people together from all over the world and from all Lebanese regions and backgrounds to run in the streets of Beirut. BLOM BANK BEIRUT MARATHON is classified as a Silver Label Road running event by the IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federation) for its excellent organizational and logistical aspects.

In 2015 the Beirut Marathon witnessed 37,811 runners running the streets of Beirut. 16,994 runners ran for 110 different NGOs. Runners from84 different nationalities participated and a new course record was made.

Schools, universities, corporate teams, charities and NGO’s are all active participants in the event whether through running for fitness, for team building, for competition, or to promote and raise funds for causes

With the 14th edition upgrade we include a Half Marathon (21.1Km) Course, including a relay for 2 runners, to encourage short distance runners to run longer distances. In addition, we modified the 10km Fun Run to 7km to gather a larger audience. This year’s start point will be in Beirut Waterfront, Biel while the finish line will be located in the historic Martyrs’ Square in the heart of Downtown Beirut.

The BLOM Bank Beirut Marathon will have races to fit all ability levels, all age groups, and all disabilities.
