Entry 36

self spite seduces me with lethargy&comfort.
overcome by sloth, i revel in this grim addiction.

self spite authors prophecy.
i fathered a reptilian torpor and found
warmth within apathy.

self spite whispers,
“you are broken.
you are burnt out.
you are already dead.”

slumbered visions of our solar system, after Sol extinguishes,
wake me to blind eyes.
burning in subterranean lakes of brine.
diving for diamonds.
sinking ever faster
within a cracked hourglass.

self spite builds the mirage of hope upon the false horizon.
i breath a sigh and let sand coat my silver tongue.
