The populous is misguided, not mindless.

Cast your stones at the shepherd.

Where you see a wolf 
I see a creature without meals provided for.

Exchange your fear for grace.
Your enemy is the wolves’ envy.

Feed them your faulty shepherd 
and bask in gratitude.

If the beast still demands your flesh 
nail it’s gluttonous tongue to a pole 
and offer your wool instead.
