Entry 785

A ship without sails.
Lost at sea.
A crew doomed to starve.

Hope inspires mutiny but this lot lacks that.
Lethargy festers maddening unrest —
one man stands without a vestige of sanity,
only he has the capacity for such
depravity as cannibalism requires.
Only he who hears the insidious
whispers of iniquitous inspiration
may survive the most vile of trials.

Now, he who feasted
rides rotted winds;
the ship with leather sails,
whose rigging is of sinew
and corded intestines,
sets out with skeleton crew
on her macabre voyage.

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
