Yeah I agree — there is a good possibility. But in my opinion, there is a higher chance it will be entity that already owns a stake in Lyft. While Apple supports the Lyft coalition via its Didi investment, it does not own equity in Lyft like Alibaba does. It’s difficult to say because there is a host of companies that would benefit from a Lyft acquisition that can easily make an offer. I am narrowing it down to those that have already expressed interest (via primary financing). In addition, these entities would already have a longer standing relationship with management, deeper knowledge of operations, influence over voting, etc…
