Unlock Your Brilliance

“Brilliance is evenly distributed but opportunity is not”, this is a phrase I have encountered in my stay at Andela which I have come to approve of.Everyone has that brilliance in him/her but it takes the right mind set to unlock it.

I believe one way of doing this is Keeping an open-mind , when you keep an open-mind your brain is ready to learn ready to grasp whatever new comes its way.This way you are telling the brain that whatever you learn is important and when you emphasize things you get a good grasp of them and eventually this leads to a growth mindset.

It’s Home day 2 and still week one, I have to complete a number of tasks on my Trello board , some things are so new to me but the best part is I can get to learn and understand them while keeping the right mindset.Like today I have to create “A simple line Application that consumes a public API using a HTTP client library”.Never heard of that before but I got this cool new friends I made at I-Hub and we get to push through this thing together.

Most of the people at Andela have a strong programming background compared to mine but am ready to give it my all and take the shot.I mean people did it so I have no excuses.

Ever had the feeling of doing what you never seen before but still giving it your all and hoping your results will be good ,the feeling consumes right?.But that is life If you want to be exceptional you have learn to be so Comfortable being so uncomfortable.

Lastly Andela has made me meet people from different backgrounds can’t explain how good it feels meeting more amazing people in your life.Have a good day out there and remember believe in yourself for others for to believe in you.Bye
