The Leviathan Cross

The ‘Leviathan Cross’ symbol, is sometimes referred to as ‘brimstone cross’, or the ‘the Cross of Satan’. The Leviathan Cross is made up of an infinity symbol on the bottom, which symbolizes the continual infinite nature, of the universe. It is believed that the eternity symbol had been chosen by Anton LaVey in the Satanic Bible, to be a mockery of the cross — as a large part of the Church of Satan’s ideology, considers that humans are able to find balance and truth within themselves.

The Leviathan Cross also has a double cross on the top. The double cross represents balance, and protection among people. This double cross is often looked at as an upside-down crucifix (and is compared to the Petrine Cross, or ‘The Cross of St. Peter’). It is said that Simon Peter had been crucified upside down.

The fact that the Leviathan Cross has strikes through it with the double cross, represents multiple crossroads that people may encounter throughout their lifetime. This represents that every single person has free will, and when encountering crossroads in their personal life, they are able to freely make their own decisions.
