You paint a familiar picture of academia, although, my brush was through the lens of a student, not a teacher. While embarking on my pursuit of a bachelor’s degree, I was basically kicked out of the program I was pursuing, despite meeting all the requirements with flying colors and excellent grades (A’s and A+), because of friction with a teacher and the Department Head. I transferred to a different school to complete my degree. It was a better school, but, it was also more expensive and caused me to accrue more debt.
