2016 — The year of the ‘spark’

I’ve been fantasizing about this piece for a couple of days now, about what I want to say in this first article, and I have a clear idea about the topic but not so much about the content, but here goes nothing.

As stated above, this is the year of the ‘spark’, and what does that even mean?

Actually nothing, at least to anyone that isn’t me, but that means that this year, is the year of starting new projects, horizons, adventures, and obstacles. I’ ve seen that sometimes people give names to objects (e.g. guitars, or stuffed animals) or seasons (e.g. month of fear when it’s October) and that seems to give whatever we are naming a personality, life even, it becomes something that we can almost touch, or feel, or smell, and so I decided to try that approach, and I recommend you to do it too.

This year, to me, is about creating new stuff, building a new beginning, and since I have a fascination with the concept of fire that sounded like a very fitting theme.

I have set my goals for this year, and just like some people and videos recommended, I made them big, not so much that would be impossible but enough for them to be encouraging and fun, but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t set some insane goals above those, but let’s just say that this year is about setting things in motion, not trying to win the World Series, or The International, because where would the fun be in that?

I don’t know if I will reach any of my goals, but I do know that even if I fail, the reward will be great, that trying is enough, because it will start the process of moving forward.

And just as I hope this will be a better year, more challenging and full of revelations for me, I hope it will be the same for you too.
