Mirror

Before I gave my life to Christ my identity lied on men, drinking, and nice clothing. It was my way of feeling “beautiful” and a way of seeking attention from the world. It wasn’t until God grabbed my attention that I realized that I was struggling with my identity. God begin to show me who I was through him. NO DRINK and NO MAN could ever compare to the love and attention God was showing me. I stopped looking in the mirror and seeing myself and I began to see a reflection of who God created me to be.

We live in a world where we are depending solely on what man thinks of us and less of what God thinks of us. Maybe you have strayed away from Christ or maybe you don’t know him at all but I want to encourage someone today that is in a battle with their identity. It is in God that we live, move, and have our entire being (Acts 17:28). Seek him and he will show you what it is like to made in his image.

My prayer for today: God, thank you for you word that never changes. Help us to be a reflection of who you are and not who we used to be. Make ours ways and our thoughts like yours. In Jesus name, amen!

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord — who is the Spirit — makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. (‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ NLT)
