Thanks for this! Nonprofit fundraiser here. The thing that I find as interesting as the difference between male and female giving is that people making money in different types of ways tend to give differently (generally).
For instance, venture capitalists making huge swaths of money in short periods of time tend to give bigger, more frequent monetary gifts. Of course, a lot of this has to do with capacity, but wealthy individuals like lawyers who make money from billable hours tend to view gifts of their time (ie. volunteering, consulting, board membership, and pro bono services) as more valuable gifts to nonprofits.
