Explaining the truth. (some R language)

From the Disney movie Aladdin, were a pesent boy came across a lamp and wished to get close to a girl he fell on love with. He struggles to find away to tell her that he loves her and who he really is, EVEN THOUGH Genie told him a way.

In the world today we have a mix between Genies and Aladdians, and sometimes it is a hard way to explain the truth. Sometimes we just keep our mouth shut, sometimes we make up a lie to tell the truth, OR you are just extremely blunt and hurt people a feelings. None of these are bad traits, but it depends on who you talk to.

When coming to the truth: keeping your mouth shut.

Now, this is not a bad thing to do, because sometimes it is best to keep ypur mouth shut. Yet, it can also be very…… stupid at the same time.

Pros:

  • You don’t hurt people’s feelings.
  • You don’t feel guilty
  • And you still have a friend

Keeping your truth telling mouth to yourself can be a good thing because you don’t have to worry about hurting someone or them hating you.

Cons:

  • You can hurt peoples feelings
  • You can feel guilty
  • You can loose a friend.

Though keeping your mouth shut can be a good thing, its a is ova bad thing because some people want you to tell them the truth and if you cannot because you are worried to hurt them, then there is the problem.

When it comes to the truth: Telling a white lie to tell the truth.

Now there is a way to tell a small lie to tell thw truth and it is a good trait to have as well. This can possibly get you out of having to make up some apology because of a harsh reality they have to face if they were lied to. Example: (apology before hand)

A young girl, who had been suffering in the hospital with cancer is dying. Her parents are sitting around her and smiling as they look down on her.

“Am I going to get better mommy?” the little girl asks.

“Yes baby. You are gonna get better and then are going to be very happy.” the mother lies, trying to hide the fact that she will not make it to her 16th birthday.

Now this is.I probably a crappy example of it, but it was the only one that could possibly be a good example.

Yes, she made a small white lie to keep her daughter’s hope up to believe that she would live, but on the end she would die.

Granted, it is not the best thing to do because I this a small lie before you he get to the truth, but there is nothing wrong worth trying to explain why you said such lie.

When it comes to the truth: Being Blunt

Yes, being blunt can get you the label:

You’re an asshole.

Though being honest, is not an asshole move. It is just some people cannot handle the truth. Some people want the truth and being blunt with people SHOULD NOT be the first move, it is a last resort if someone just does not get the hint.

Now, if you are like me, being blunt just freaking happens. You try to sugar coat your answer in hopes that you soften down the asshole meter, but sometimes it just doesn’t happen.

Susan is wearing an ugly dress that she says is the cats meow, though to you, it looks like someone is a walking bowl of puke soup.

“How do I look?” she asks, causing you to sigh.

“Honestly, you look like a walking pea soup. It is not a good dress on you and it makes you look like a hooker.”

Well crap…. Now granted some people don’t care of being blunt, but there are some you have to be honestly blunt with some people.

Now, don’t get me wrong, being blunt isn’t bad, but there is a point were you have to dibby down a bit because being too blunt can cause friends to walk away because you look like a full blown ass.

Over all?

Overall, telling the truth is the best trait, EVEN IF you walk into a butt Whooping or you make someone angry. Don’t lie to someone because you want to keep them as a friend.

Have a nice day!
