The Golden Arches will soon be glowing in Chestermere thanks to a new pilot project. McDonald’s Canada will be setting up a new ‘Mini-McDonald’s’ as part of their effort to reach out to underserved communities. John Davies is the franchise owner and says that the store might be small, but offers most menu items. “Mini-McDonald’s has been popular in Singapore for years and we’re delighted to bring it here, a Canadian first,” says Davies.

The mini-McDonald’s offers take out only, and while the kitchen is only 6x8, it can hold four employees, a deep fryer, McFlurry Machine, and hamburger grill. “We think fans of McDonald’s will feel right at home.”

The mini-McDonald’s store will be set up at the entrance to Chestermere Landing. “We think patrons will love the convenience of ordering one of our world famous Big Macs while waiting for the Tim Horton’s drive-through to inch forward,” says Davies.

The new mini-McDonald’s will be delivered in June, 2018. The first 1000 customers will receive a free mini Chicken McNugget.
