THIS WEEK’S TWEAKS at The Infinite Wrench ~ May 5–7: “What’s a wrench?”
“This Week’s Tweaks” is The Neo-Futurist’s weekly update on the ongoing & ever-changing THE INFINITE WRENCH, a live mechanism to unleash a barrage of two-minute plays for the present audience. Check in every week for updates on the new plays and rotating Neo-Futurist ensemble members.
Since its inception (is that the right word to use?) on March 3rd, 2017, The Infinite Wrench has experimented, played with, futzed around, and tweaked out new and different ways of delivering Neo-Futurist plays to eagerly anticipating audiences. This week premieres yet another method to the controlled-madness: wrenches.
A wrench is similar to a play, but it isn’t a play: it’s a wrench.
A single wrench could affect the tone, shape, tempo, form, aesthetic, quality, feel, smell, language, intention, or face of a single play, many plays, or the overall structure of The Infinite Wrench. Take a look at this example text, from “Wrench I.”

This wrench springs the intermission immediately, [regardless of where in Act 1 the show is.] Plays from Act 1 will be available for request only after the second Act is completed.
They’re small, simple, but can also pack a wallop. Two more are in the menu this weekend. Find yourself here, in the audience, and see how they land.
OTHER NEWS!: Be sure to find yourself in attendance for The Arrow Takes a Leap, which is the 8th round of The Arrow, a Neo-Futurist storytelling event created by Ensemble Members Kurt Chiang & Lily Mooney. Tickets available at the website, to be found below.
