We are an arts-based project and as such we want to foster creativity in our community and reward creators long-term.
In 2021 the NFT space blossomed with artists and creatives auctioning 1/1 artworks, it was an amazing time including for our artist Timpers who benefited greatly. NFTs have given Timpers a platform to showcase his talent and express his creativity whilst building TBAC x Chimpers and he is very thankful for this opportunity.
During the run-up to the Chimpers launch, we held art and lore competitions that galvanized the creatives within our community, showcasing their talent and enriching our project. It was amazing to see, and we knew then we wanted to foster this creative talent in our community long-term.
With the launch of TBAC x Chimpers Community Art Foundation, we will have an ongoing program of themed art competitions and will be investing in art and artists using a portion of the chimpers mint fund located in the chimpers art foundation wallet.
How will it work?
Themed — Art Creations
Art contests will run monthly, where we will choose a specific art theme. We will then invite the community to produce artistic creations based around TBAC x Chimpers. So, for example, we might ask people to create a merch design or design a new Chimpers.
Of course, there will be the kudos of winning and the exposure the creators receive, but importantly the artwork will be showcased in our new OpenSea gallery.

- A theme will be announced on our Twitter & Discord, creators will have around 2 weeks to then submit their art.
- We will decide over the following week, and purchase a selection of winning creations for 0.2 ETH each.
- We will provide the winning creators with details of how to set up the NFT title, description, and properties on Opensea so that it will be easier to filter on our Opensea collection.
- Though we do not intend to sell on any NFT any offers received, we would forward offers to the creator who can decide whether to sell.

When does it start?
Start date: Monday, June 06.
Kicking off our first themed competition will be TBAC & Chimpers MEMES! We want to celebrate the memes & GIFS that have proliferated around our Twitter and discord, that have enriched our community over the past several weeks!
How to enter the first themed art contest
Creators will have one week to submit their entries to Twitter using the hashtag #chimpersaf
For this theme, you can submit entries you have made previously, or you can create new artworks!
After the submission deadline ends after 1 week, June 13th we will review the submissions for 1 more week, and announce the winners on Discord and Twitter on June 19th!
Once we have decided on the winners, we will coordinate with them and have them mint their NFT which we will collect for our OpenSea gallery!
We will pay 0.2 ETH to every winner that has their artwork minted and showcased in our OpenSea gallery.
The number of winners may vary for each theme!
Artwork Ownership
As part of our due diligence, we will review the creator’s credentials on Twitter, Instagram, OpenSea, etc, to ensure as much as reasonably practicable that you are the original creator of the work.
