Letter to my teenage self

Dear Teenage me,

For the past days, I was thinking if I would want to write you a letter. But I think this would make you go off well. You will face many; I mean so many challenges ahead. You will probably tell yourself that you never do things right. Some are awfully painful. This is why I am making this letter. To tell you that it’s going to be alright. That everything has its purpose. And, to help you feel worthy of whatever you are right now.

The challenges you think are so hard are the most important part of your teen. You will learn how to put yourself up again and again and again. It’s always ok to cry but don’t over do it. Don’t make the neighbor tell you they hear you. But, everything will be fine. Those challenges will help you grow and mature. Remember, Time heals all wounds. Smile and get up.

I feel certain; I know you will not give up. I know you are strong.

If there’s one thing that I wish you had known earlier was, that right now is worth every bit of importance that contribute to what you are. Don’t miss the moments you have right now. Enjoy it. Love it. And, be content in it.

I want you to grab every opportunity that life is offering you. I want you to get out of your comfort zone and to try new things. Never doubt that you can do and you can be anything you want to succeed. This time, the most important thing to recognize is time.

That it is running. That it can’t be stopped.

Cherish every moment you have with your friends, cousins, with your grand parents, with your mother, father, sister. Love every moment you have with your dog. Because they won’t be coming back. Don’t miss these significant moments.

And, above everything else, nothing is more important than your faith. You believe everything about God. His unfathomable love. His unending grace. And what is more important is that He believes in you. He loves you so much, as vast as the ocean. Unconditionally. So much that he gave his only begotten son to save us and to be with us.

You are important. You are deserving. You are worthy.

This is the most important thing I wish you knew. Every now is an opportunity for you to be with Him, to pray to Him, to worship Him.

Offer everything you do to Him. Offer your life. He is waiting for you.

The reason why you made this far is because of Him. He is your light, your guide, your father, your savior.

Never. Never ever lose your faith little Chin. Pray.

Lovingly,

26 year old-Chin
