I feel it’s a far more ‘backward or regressive’ identity. The now old version had hope and nudged the future. This new, and to my eyes I can’t see any continuity, is stiff, more traditional news/words in style. Makes me harrumph, bit disappointed.

I liked the future bent and if a change really was needed a more subtle move would have worked for me. A progression not a jump.
