Yes I did know about the RHG/WHG, but was never part of it. Also Slock.it is not and was never part of it (employees act as individuals, since Slock.it the company has never tasked them with anything regarding the RHG).
I believe the RHG has always, and still has good intentions. Nevertheless, I personally think that selling the ETC was a huge mistake. I would guard against replay attacks by having a new address as function parameter, which is used as the recipient of the ether. This way ETC user simply create a new address which receives the ETC and use this address only one the ETC chain.
The RHG/WHG has worked hard without getting paid and deserve our respect. I hope they will accomplish the task of returning the ETC to the original DAO-C holders.
