Strength is a crucial attribute in role-playing games, particularly for warrior classes. If you’ve chosen the Robo Warrior career for one of your Shell NFTs in PhalaWorld, then you’ll want to focus on increasing your strength stats. In PhalaWorld, your in-game stats are influenced by your real-life actions. Let’s examine the factors that influence STR and the extent of their impact.
There are three methods to build strength in your Soulbound Spirit:
- Hold PHA
- Delegate PHA
- Holding SPECIAL NFTs
Holding
If you have Phala tokens in an account that is linked to your Spirit NFT then it will give you strength (STR) experience (EXP) points for your PhalaWorld Spirit. The amount is calculated by the simple formula:
- EXP = Quantity held × 1,000
The length of time you have held tokens will also earn you EXP.
- EXP = Holding days × 1,000
So, as an example. If I were to claim a Spirit NFT whilst holding the minimum 10 PHA required. I would receive the following EXP:
- EXP = (10 tokens × 1000) + (1 day × 1000) = 11000
If we consult the PhalaWorld docs attributes page we can check the attributes points chart to see where our 11000 EXP lies:
This correlates with what the PhalaWorld site gives:
Let’s add 10,090 (10,100 total) to our account and see how it improves our strength score, first lets calculate to see what we are expecting:
- EXP = (10,100 tokens × 1000) + (1 day * 1000) = 10,101,000

The STR points increased to 51 as the chart informs us.
Reputation Score
As you may have noticed in the video, the Spirit level increased to 24. This is the Spirit reputation score, which is calculated by adding up all attribute points. Just like with the STR score, there is a chart that outlines the formula for calculating the Spirit score. We’ll go into more detail on this in a future article.
Delegating
Since you are hodling Phala tokens you might as well have your tokens work for you right? You can lock up some or all of your balance by delegating to vaults or stake-pools. This will earn you an attractive rate of interest on your holdings AND you will get bonus EXP points for your PhalaWorld Spirit.
How much bonus?
It depends on how much you delegate but it will be awarded on top of the EXP from holding (EXP = Quantity held × 1,000) + Bonus.
To see this bonus take effect, I will delegate the funds I just added to the account and we can see what it will do to the score. As the amount to be delegated lies between 10K and 30K, from the above table we can establish that we will receive a 30% bonus. Giving us a total of:
- EXP = 10,101,100 + (EXP × 0.3) = 13,131,300
According to the chart, this will be enough to take our strength level up to 54 points.
The tokens that have been delegated are now locked until they are withdrawn from the vault. Whilst they are in the vault they are accumulating at a high APY %, effectively further increasing your STR. This is a win-win situation no doubt about that, more information about delegating is available on the official Phala docs here.

- PolkaPet — Shadow Nexus
- Privacy Pill
Sparking Gem
This a RMRK NFT that was issued to those who contributed more than 50 KSM to the Khala crowdloan on Kusama. These can be found on Singular, they also double as rare Khala glasses for Kanaria birds.
This item was snapshot so only holders from a specific date will benefit from holding this NFT.
PolkaPet — Shadow Nexus
Part of the PolkaPetWorld collection on the Ethereum chain. An early project to provide utility to various projects by owning one of their pets. Read more about what Phala had to say about this NFT when it launched here.
Phala Privacy Pill
This is a symbolic NFT representing Phala as the cure for Web 2.0. It was a collab with artist Daily Dose NFT and originally available on Rarible on the Ethereum chain.
How do you acquire strength from these NFT’s?
Ensure that you have the wallet that contains the NFT connected to your MCP (My Crypto Profile) that is linked to your PhalaWorld spirit. You will receive 60,000 EXP for each NFT you hold.
