Michael Moore is The Un-American

I love a good documentary. I particularly like ones that show the corruption and dirty dealings of those in power. There is something rewarding about seeing them exposed. For that reason, I have watched (although not necessarily agreed with Michael Moore’s films.) He has built quite the library of they-are-screwing-us-over flicks. In films like Sicko and Fahrenheit 9/11 beneath all the political dogma (which I ignore) he seems to do a good job of pointing out corruption. Again, I have never liked the man nor his politics, but I have found his films interesting. With that said… I discovered The Un-American on Prime and was intrigued.

This documentary, shot very much like Moore’s early films (on purpose) takes aim at the big guy — Michael Moore himself. Filmmaker Kevin Leffler knew Moore in high school and sets out to expose the hypocrisy and out-right greed and fraud Moore uses in making his films. Leffler points out that Moore’s films are the furthest thing from documentaries. They are instead political propaganda paid for by his socialist backers.

It goes well beyond slanting the numbers or clever editing of comments to make a point. We are talking serious fraud. If you have ever seen a Michael Moore film, you need to watch this. If you are a fan of his work, you need to realize that you have been duped.

Biggest takeaway — if his lips are moving, he is lying.
