Great exercise. I love command-line tools, and with some serious NLP study I could see myself writing consumer-facing bots to front all sorts of programs.

The NLP libraries will have to be easy to use and powerful to drive adoption by devs. But once that bar is cleared, all sorts of UI could get simplified to chat bots.

Have you considered using Firebase as your datastore? It’s all realtime and excels at chat apps.
