What Happens To You When You Come Home From A Long Journey

I think this hits me on a few different levels.

Like the woman in the airport, I lost a parent too. For a long time, it pushed me further from home. Not because I’m not close with my Mom, but it was a painful reminder.

Now that I’ve been home for a year, I’m planning a move to the opposite coast for a new job and it’s never been harder to leave! I try to remember all of the wonderful ways leaving home has pushed me outside of my comfort zone and made me the person I am today.
