Announcing the Road To #ShakeupShow 2017 …

Who doesn’t love a good road trip?

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, May 17, I’m kicking off a trip of my own, and I’d love for you to join me.

I’ll be doing a series of five Periscope broadcasts at each stop along my trip from Long Island, N.Y., to the Social Shake-Up Show in Atlanta, which takes place May 22–24, 2017 at Atlanta’s beautiful W Hotel.

While I’m not sure exactly where I’ll be stopping along the way — although there’s an excellent chance you’ll see me in Greenville, S.C., this weekend — I do know I’ll be Periscoping each night — Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday — at 7 p.m. Eastern, in preparation for next week’s epic social media conference. (Please note that this series is not sponsored by, officially associated with or authorized by The Social Shake-Up Show, or by any other brands.)

I’d love for you to join me each night to get a taste of what you’ll hear from the dozens of great speakers next week. Here are the topics I’ll be speaking about (all Scopes at 7 p.m. Eastern):

Wednesday, May 17, 2017: How Snapchat Permanently Changed the Way We Tell Stories
Thursday, May 18, 2017: Why Live-Streaming Is A Great Fit for your Business
Friday, May 19, 2017: Why Your Brand Should Experiment With Road-Trip Marketing
Saturday, May 20, 2017: Ask Chris Strub Anything — Bring Your Questions!
Sunday, May 21, 2017: Grind, Defined — How to Effectively Build Your Personal Brand on Social Media

The best way to join these free, live discussions is through your mobile device, through the Periscope app. You can also comment live and join the discussion by watching from your web browser at

If you’re excited for this series, I ask that you share this blog post out with your networks so your friends and colleagues can join in as well. I’ll also be Snapchatting my way down — although not while driving, of course — and I encourage you to follow me on that platform as well.

Who exactly is Chris Strub, and why should you tune in? I’m the first man to live-stream and Snapchat in all 50 U.S. states, the author of ’50 States, 100 Days: The Book,’ and I’ll be on the live-streaming panel at next week’s Social Shake-Up Show. I’ll also be moderating a roundtable discussion about Snapchat on Wednesday, before the show winds down. Previously, I’ve worked as a social media consultant with Humana, managed social media at a New York advertising agency, and have spent seven years on the copy desk between two newspapers in Binghamton and Watertown, N.Y. I love social media, particularly Twitter and Snapchat, and can’t wait to meet you at the Social Shake-Up Show 2017 next week!

See you next week in Atlanta! — Chris
