When it comes to nightclubs, there’s nothing lame about L.A. In fact, the City of Angels boasts some fantastic venues in which to dance the night away.

Los Angeles didn’t earn the title of “Entertainment Capital of the World” for nothing. The big city tries hard and succeeds with some pretty impressive club action.

Here are “The Most Exclusive Nightclubs In L.A.”:

1. Avenue Night Club, 1601 Cahuenga Blvd, Los Angeles 90028. Hailing from NYC, this most-sought-after East Coast outpost, has laid claim to the West. What has been the go-to meeting place for household names, such as Rihanna, Lebron James and Marc Jacobs, is sure to take hold in LA with its 4,000 square foot, grandiose-styled club space. Guests enter through a custom glass and metal greenhouse and walk through a garden patio before finally reaching the intimate club space, equipped with a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, hosted by world-class DJ’s.

2. Avalon Hollywood, 1735 Vine St, Los Angeles 90028. Talk about a famous nightclub; this one’s got a rich history. From significant bands like The Beatles to Nirvana and Soundgarden, the Avalon has been the premier site for musical breakthroughs through the decades. Now, the modern venue features electronic music with famous DJs and performances by talent like Fatboy Slim and Swedish House Mafia.

3. Boulevard3, 6525 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood 90028. This club site is the former home to the Hollywood Athletic Club. The incredible design features entry through a large iron gate and into a landscaped English courtyard. There’s a small library that leads into a huge, three-level ballroom. Boulevard3 features hip hop, top 40 and house music.

4. Station1640, 1640 N Cahuenga Blvd, Los Angeles 90028. It doesn’t have the prominent branding of other Hollywood clubs, but Station1640 has developed a unique groove and launched some talented underground DJs on the scene. The club is known for its weekly Wednesday night party Clinic, drawing famous faces to the location.

5. Academy L.A., 6021 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles 90028. The trendy, hotspot attracts fans to the club in the heart of Hollywood. The open dance floor format features well-known electronic dance music DJs and emerging experimental talent. House headliners have included favorites like DJs Eric Prydz, Thomas Gold, and Dirty South.

6. Lure Nightclub, 1439 Ivar Ave, Los Angeles 90028. The venue is upscale and high-tech designed around an 18,000-square-foot dance club with famous DJs and bottle service. There’s plush lounge seating and four full-service bars to accommodate. A-list talent like Drake, Wiz Khalifa, and Future have performed there.
