Doing won’t remove pain. It will push it aside for the time being and give you some room to breath. Masking the pain with other emotions and feelings. But the pain will still be there when you stop.
Figuring out the underlying cause of the pain, the real root of it, not just the surface layer and pulling out the weeds is the only way to truly deal with pain. Otherwise things will happen that trigger the pain response and the scenario starts all over again. Creating and doing is a healthy first step, however, it will only get you so far. The wounds may heal, but the scars remain.
