Claudio Carnino — An approach to looking at how fast a Swift framework could go (without additional compiler work) vs. other languages, is by looking at simple “algorithmic” benchmarks. Take a look at the following slide:

There are lots of disclaimers here — this compares raw computation speed, so to to apply it to a web framework you have to assume that every language does I/O at the same speed, and that all the web frameworks are written ideally, etc. It does show you where it could potentially end up though.
