I’ve been drawn to your post because of the intriguing thought in your lead-in. Unfortunately, it’s a common practice to talk about a problem rather than actually trying to solve it immediately because it seems the more comfortable way. Change always brings along uncertainties, which we’re afraid of.
Hi Helen,
I liked reading your post firstly, because you clearly outline your way of reasoning — so it’s easy to follow, and secondly, because the topic itself interested me as well.
The cost always seems to be an important factor, which is partly understandable from an economic point of view, but…
Hi HRicarda,
It was interesting to read your text because I’ve not been aware the situation for the hearing impaired was so hard. Now and then, you get the impression some things are only done to make a nice impression, such as giving sign language the status of one of the official languages.
Hi Laura,
I liked your text because it addresses an ability which is quite rare — namely, the ability to empathise, or “seeing through the eyes of someone else”, as you wrote in your title.
Instead of trying to really listen to another person’s story, it’s easier to put them into a category, eg…
Hi HRicarda,
The topic you’re talking about is shocking, and yet, you write about it in a snappy and interesting way. Your post reveals how corrupt New Zealand’s government is in that case, turning the fact of the decreasing number of dolphins into a way to attract tourists. Sometimes it’s really hard to empathise with some…
Hi Helen,
I liked reading your post because you looked at your thoroughly-researched facts in a critical way stating your own opinion. I agree with you that children can’t be left to make their own decisions concerning their nutrition. They need their parents’ guidance.
Hi Antje,
I was drawn to the text because it’s an interesting topic I hadn’t thought of and that hadn’t been covered before in the other blogs either.
The thought you raised at the end kept me thinking of my attitude towards supporting and helping others. I think the key problem of most people (and I…
Hi HRicarda,
I liked your text on John’s popularity, firstly, because you outline your thoughts clearly, secondly, because of the ideas you present, which are convincing.
It’s interesting that this aspect of being the one voters can relate to and of making sure you’re on people’s mind (even though…
Hi Nadia,
You mention good points why it could be necessary to change the flag: it’s a symbol of the country it represents, and as symbol it should be distinguishable from the flag of other countries. Having given all these reasons, you conclude that changing the flag would have been unnecessary in this referendum anyway…
Hi Jaci,
It’s an interesting topic you draw on. You already get the reader’s attention with the choice of your headline, which is short and provocative. Then, you outline why the 100% pure campaign is so ridiculous in a way. There’s one point which I would like to add something to. You write: “(…) a New Zealand of untouched…
