I’ve met Mr Mercier; he and another high stakes pro were playing open face Chinese poker during breaks at the Aussie millions one year for money. They even had someone follow them around with a notepad to keep track of the points; even on their breaks these guys are gambling. I’ve also met his fiancé; both are lovely people – Mercier’s summer and his fiancés 3rd in her event show that sometimes good people get what they deserve in life.
