Oh thank you Pierre Trudel, that’s so nice of you to say! 😊 I’m glad to be able to pass on what I learned from my previous experiences. Some people think you have to be very inflexible about what it means to actually “win” NaNoWriMo, but the event was created to inspire and challenge you to get more writing done.

It’s more than just a word count challenge. If your only goal is to get to 50K, you’re going to be very disappointed in yourself if you can’t get there in 30 days. Setting other goals for the writing experience will help you appreciate what you were able to accomplish in that short amount of time. Then even if you didn’t make it to 50K, you still win in other ways! 🙂
