But what separates a master from a cubicle worker (both of whom perform actions over long periods of time) is that the cubicle worker does the action and seeks completion while the master does the action with the intention of discovery.

Live your life inside it, in the room in which you are rather than wandering around out back or upstairs or wherever you tend to drift off to. Sit with yourself. Sit in the room. Be there in time and space — in mind as well as body.
