Art Fair Philippines 2016

The Art Fair Ph experience was something new to me, I didn’t like it at first and saw it as a hassle but once I got in, I saw all the artworks being showcased by various galleries and that made me notice what I have been missing for the rest of my life. The one gallery that caught my eye when I last went to the art fair philippines was the gallery called Boston Art Gallery. The gallery displayed models of animals and what they are used for like for luxury goods . For me, I think this is saying that we are causing the extinction of these animals by using them as a way to further our hobbies and other things.

Of the 11 special artworks shown in the area, the 2 that I chose are the works of Jose Ruiz and Agnes Arellano. What I liked about them is that you can interact with them by sitting on their works. The work of Ruiz was befitting of the valentine season for those who fancy the naughtier side of relationships. For Arellano’s his works portrayed the gods and that they are somewhat telling the viewer of the time when these gods interacted with us mere mortal men and women

Lastly, during my visit, I observed that the majority of people that went there know art. They are of a higher standing in the society and seem to collect art as a pass time. These people somehow were different from some of the crowd and it shows when they’re looking at art . There were also others, who just went their to take selfies to improve their IG feed which seem to be the thing nowadays. My conclusion is that
