Set Apart

It’s super early in the morning and I can’t go back to sleep so I pick up Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst.

Seriously if you’ve ever struggled with feeling rejected or lonely, this book is for you.

The author speaks so simply, but it’s meaningful. She’s also easy to relate to.

She had felt aside at a moment but then she felt God tell her “you’re not set aside you’re set apart.” Wow. Perspective changed in one word.

Set aside is being rejected, but set apart means you’re given an assignment that requires separation.

I’ve always known that as Christians that we should live lives set apart, but thinking that way when you feel rejected is real life. It may not be as easy as it sounds.

Read the book. She gives clear Biblical examples of how you are set apart and how to use those life experiences to help others. I’m almost halfway through the book.

The basic theme is to live loved regardless of how you feel. Our incredible Heavenly Father loves us no matter what so living knowing that is the journey.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
