I agree with you Giles. I prefer to call myself spiritual more than religious. Religious denotes the stiff “burn homosexuals to a stake before you go to church” kind of vybe. And on the other hand, when you talk about spirituality, you have to qualify it by adding ‘Jesus’ or ‘Christian' in there somewhere, or else you could be confused with a medium, a palm-reader, a psychic and all the other forms of spirit-led practices that are the opposite of what you mean. Sigh.
