I’ve been going through a down time the last couple of weeks. What keeps me sane is trying to create something to look forward to, despite the current challenges. Anything from planning a sleep-over to planning a trip. This helps me remember that life isn’t so bad after all. I also figure out what I can change/control (aka within my circle of influence) and I focus on that, letting everything else slide. I acknowledge my pain and struggle, but I try my darnedest to let it not consume me by working out positives to pursue.
