On the issue of correcting french people in french grammar, I protest ! This generation is not gone yet. Sadly, it is going.

As the quality of public education in France has deteriorated over many decades, people try to move to private Christian schools. But non-french people of my generation continue to correct french people, as the standards of the schools they went to often was much higher than the ones in France.
