‘ “After a thorough legal review, it is clear that Governor McAuliffe has once again illegally suspended the Constitution of Virginia,” Howell said in a statement. “There is no practical difference between his latest action and his first set of executive orders.”’

What a jack-ass.

  1. Nobody is “suspending the Constitution”.
  2. The GOP itself argued that the governor is only allowed to return voting rights individually. There is no standard for that, however. So, if he does it individually for 200,000 people, that is completely legal and his reasons for doing so cannot be questioned.
