Mapping Portland: The Complete City | Portland Civic Design Fest 2017
Project Champion: Alyssa Phanitdasack (Portland Society for Architecture)
What is your project about?
Our project provides blank maps of Portland to engage citizens in celebrating, visualizing, and imagining the present and future of their city.
What do you have so far?
We’ve printed 5,000 maps, created a website, and reached out to neighborhood associations and many different organizations in Portland. All returned maps can be viewed at our website www.thecompletecity.com.
What do you need?
People can help by taking their time to fill out a map and come see and discuss the findings at SPACE Gallery on September 27th. We want people to be honest and think big! The future of Portland needs to come from everyone who visits, lives, works, and loves this great city.
[This project will be set up in Congress Square Park from 10–2, see the Facebook event here.]
Don’t forget to RSVP to Portland Civic Design Fest, September 23rd at Mechanics Hall, Portland, Maine. Part of the National Day of Civic Hacking!
