What is your project about?

The goal of the project is to bring awareness of the public’s street presence on St. John Street by creating a large pair of Eyes mounted in two windows of a building that focus in on and follow pedestrians and cars as they walk and drive past. Thus creating the appearance that the building will be “watching people”.

What do you have so far?

So far we have two people on the group, We have some coding skill and a rough idea about how to pull off a couple versions of the project. We need some options on how else we might do this. Maybe a couple monitors for the eyes, and some video images of real eyes? We have two Xbox Kinects to use as sensors, but we have concerns about their limited range.

What do you need?

How can we increase the range of the motion tracking devices? How can we use this data to change images of eyes so they “focus” on the objects moving past?
