The Equal Protection argument against “winner take all” in the Electoral College

If America reforms the Electoral College to be run on the basis of the popular vote, then incoming presidential candidates will focus on winning the votes of regions and cities with higher population densities, rather than visiting the states with smaller populations. If a reform was implemented, several areas of the fly over states will be ignored. This will continue for several election cycles until the disenfranchised voter in the valleys of Wyoming or the tundra of Alaska will form a movement to bring back the Electoral College, and enshrine into the Constitution that would prevent any reform of the Electoral College again.
