Jared’s Visit to ClassOwl’s HQ

Two weeks ago, the San Francisco ClassOwl team was lucky to have a special visitor! Jared Cave was a high school junior at our pilot school, Grand River Academy when we first met earlier this year. He flew out from Pennsylvania to meet us in person and to provide feedback for the app that he was excited to use and personally influence. Jared had compiled a list of recommendations and thoroughly explained everything he both liked and disliked about our product. Through Jared, we were really able to see how ClassOwl could be better and more intuitive for our student users. Everyone on our team was very impressed by Jared’s attention to detail. He helped us understand the role ClassOwl played at the various times and moments in his day-to-day life, as well as the lives of his classmates. Jared facilitated brainstorming sessions with our product team and our UI/UX designer, and we’re happy to say that his ideas will soon be reflected in ClassOwl’s new application interface and notification design.

With the start of school next week at Grand River Academy, Jared will be the new ClassOwl student ambassador, where he will continue to send us feedback and help us stay close to our student users. When we asked Jared what he liked most about ClassOwl, he vocalized the helpfulness of the organized planner. Jared didn’t have to waste energy stressing about what assignments were due each day as he always had them on hand in his ClassOwl planner, “It’s an assignment book that never leaves you, and you can never forget it.” He said he loved ClassOwl because it is “dedicated to improving academics in the education system by helping students stay on track, helping them communicate about homework assignments, and not let them slip through the cracks.”

We promise to continue working hard for students like you, Jared! Thanks for coming to see us… We hope that you had an awesome time, we sure did!
