Opera arias for Canterbury’s literary festival in April

Programme-planning is underway as we are delighted to be performing on the opening day of the Wise Words Festival, Canterbury’s literary festival that takes place from 30 April to 8 May this spring.

Mezzo-soprano Michelle Harris and pianist Dan Harding will be performing in the Secret Garden at the heart of the medieval city, Greyfriars’ Garden, which forms the central venue for the annual celebration of the written, spoken and sung word. The festival this year also features poets Ian McMillan, Andrew McMillan, Lemn Sissay as well as a host of writers, poets, musicians and performers which will bring the city to literary and musical life.

The opera arias performance takes place on the opening day of the festival, Saturday 30 April at 12.30pm in Greyfriars; admission is free, expect some popular operatic favourites, showtunes, and one or two surpises… Find out more here.
